Dr. Maureen Liberto

Dr. Maureen Liberto is the student counselor for the Ole Miss First Scholarship program. After retiring in 2005 as assistant director of admissions and guidance at Jones County Junior College in Laurel, Miss., Liberto moved to Oxford, where she volunteers as a counselor for Ole Miss First scholars. She assists students in a variety of areas, from exploring careers and obtaining internships to arranging guest speakers to interact with students on campus. Her late husband, V.A. Liberto, was an Ole Miss alumnus who gave of his time by serving on the advisory committee to the School of Business Administration, as well as on campaigns to raise private funds. The couple's three children also attended the university.

Jill Waycaster West

Jill Waycaster West, is a development officer at The University of Mississippi’s Office of Development. West works to attract financial support for the Ole Miss First scholarship initiative and serves as a regional development officer for the Mid-South area. An Ole Miss alumna, West graduated cum laude with a degree in journalism. She is a member of the Ole Miss Young Alumni Council and served as Secretary/Treasurer for the Public Relations Association of Mississippi- Oxford/ Ole Miss Charter. She has interned for the William Morris Talent Agency in Los Angeles and for the National Association of Broadcasters in Washington, D.C. West, a Tupelo native, and her husband, Josh, a Pontotoc native, reside in Memphis, Tenn.
